Hello my Freaky Darlings,
I hope you all had a rocking New Year!
It’s the first Monday of the year and 2011 is off to a good start. I’ll have an announcement very soon for you about Shadows and a new home, so that’s a relief and maybe my ulcer will stop giving me grief now.
A few weeks ago I started work on a post apocalyptic novella which I have to have done by March. At this rate I’ll have the first draft done by February, which should give me some time to edit it and get a few friends to rip it to shreds. I must say, when I have a deadline I’m far more prolific. It makes it easier to force myself to write. How do you feel about deadlines? Do they help you be more productive? Hopefully the discipline I’ve found while working on the novella will also carry over to The Veil and other writing projects.
As for new years resolutions for 2011, well … I don’t normally do resolutions. They never last very long. Usually by the second week of the year I’ve managed to break them. But for this year I’m going to make one and only one resolution, which is to simply write more. I think I can manage that, don’t you? So … what are your resolutions for 2011? Or have you decided to give the resolution thing a skip this year?
Misbehave horribly!
