Thicker than Water

Hello My Freaky Darlings,

I got a very nice surprise in my mail box a few days ago. Phil Messerer had sent me a copy of his brilliant movie “Thicker Than Water”

Thicker than WaterThicker Than Water is the first part in The Vampire Diaries. I must admit that when I first heard about it, I was a little dubious. It’s another vampire movie and an indie project, so I wasn’t really all that sure if it would be worth watching, but to my surprise it was actually really good!

It asked some very interesting questions. What would you do if someone you love became a Vampire? How far would you go to keep them alive, well as alive as a Vampire can be? Would you be prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice?

Phil Messerer has done an excellent job with this film. I thoroughly enjoyed his humour and the intelligence behind this project. It wasn’t just another Vampire movie following in the same footsteps as everybody else. It was original and thought provoking.

So, if you can get your hands on a copy of this great indie film, do it.  The indie horror industry needs all your support and Phil Messerer’s ‘Thicker Than Water’ deserves it.

  1. I’m guessing that the beloved vampire in question looks like the chick on the cover and isn’t one of those “sexy” vampires, which must make the situation a bit more difficult. If my Hubs was turned I’d be okay with it so long as a) he could be reasoned with, b) he doesn’t end up looking like that chick on the cover and c) he stays sexy. Oh, and maybe so long as he wasn’t COMPLETELY evil. I could live with some evil, but not total evil.
