Hello, my Freaky Darlings!
Today is the beginning of a brand new year, and while the baggage from the old one is still stuck to our boot heals no matter how hard we might try to shake off all the crap that is beyond our control, we do have some control over a few of the choices we make.
For me, this coming year feels like it’s about choices. I have a choice in how much writing I do every day, how I market my books, how I communicate with my readers, or how I react to my noisy, inconsiderate neighbours. I can choose to allow all the shit going on in the world to affect me negatively and allow it to either turn me into a raging bitch or a broken, crying heap on the floor. Or I can put on my noise-cancelling headphones, listen to some great music or escape into my favourite submersive ambiences on YouTube and get some writing done. I can choose to be happy and connect with the people I care about. I can choose to focus on what matters to me.
So for 2023, I will try to make small decisions that make me smile instead of screaming out in anger over shit I can’t control. Well … I’m going to try anyway. How about you? What are you going to try this year to make you happy?
I ended 2022 on a pretty good note, which I’m rather proud of. I promised myself I would get all the stories for Sliced and Diced 3 written by the 31st of December, and I did it! I finished the final story yesterday and sent it off to be ripped to shreds by my favourite ginger Ninja. I can’t wait to hear what she thinks of the last one. So I’m still on track to getting it out before my birthday on the 17th of January. I really hope you enjoy the stories my twisted little brain has come up with. On that note, here’s the second teaser for the cover.

Well … that’s it for now. Until next time …
Happy reading, and thank you for being a Freaky Darling!
