Hello my Freaky Darlings,
My BeBook Neo arrived on Friday! And it looks stunning! It came with a beautiful leather cover, so it looks like a leather bound book. I’m still figuring out how all it’s nifty little extras work, but so far I’m really loving it. The best part is that now I can proudly show off both versions of Shadows to anybody who comes my way.
I had brunch with a good friend of mine on Saturday and brought my tree book copy of Shadows and my Neo along to show them both to her. She has Kindle on her iPhone, so was quite interested in seeing the Neo. It’s also the first time she got to see Shadows in print. We got a few strange looks from the people in the restaurant, especially from the table opposite, who couldn’t understand what all the oohing and aahing was about.
And yes, I’m still on a high with Shadows being in print. I mean, just look at it. It’s beautiful! And No, I still can’t stop touching it. I think my hugging it in the restaurant may actually have been what caused the strange looks from the other restaurant patrons.
If you’ve already bought your copy, whether in ebook format or as a tree book, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you haven’t got a copy yet, you can pop in over here and pick your poison. Or pop in at the Rebel e Publishers website.
Have a creepy day!
Your hugging of your book is a great testament to the fact that we still need books in print, and not just in ebook form. The tactile experience of literally holding your own book is really unlike anything else.
But I also hugged my ebook reader! I love my BeBook! I think there’s a place for both.
