Hello my Freaky Darlings,

Today’s movie is My Bloody Valentine (2009).

Yes, yes, I know, I know. I should have watched this in February, but I never watch Valentine movies in February. It’s just such a cliché. So I waited until now to watch it and I’m glad I did. Now, Jensen Ackles is the pretty boy of horror and I don’t know many women who don’t think he’s a babe and looked extra delicious in this one, but I don’t think this was his best work. I far prefer him in Supernatural.

I won’t say that this was one of my favourite horror movies to date, but it’s not my least favourite either. There was plenty of gore, in fact there were moments where it was down right gross and the ending was actually a bit of a surprise. So, if you’re looking for lots of blood and gore with a bit of a brain then this ones for you, but if you prefer your horror to be a little more intellectual and less gore then you may not enjoy this one.
