Quarantine

Hello my Freaky Darlings,

Today’s movie is Quarantine (2008).

This reminded me of Diary of the Dead and Cloverfield. If you suffer from motion sickness, don’t watch this one. Quarantine was actually pretty good. There were even a few moments where I was sitting on the edge of my seat. I loved the fact that there wasn’t any ridiculous music throughout the movie. You know the kind of music I’m talking about, right? Those horrible tunes they put in to supposedly heighten the tension, but all it does is tell you that you’re supposed to be scared and that something’s about to happen, which completely ruins the scare. Quarantine had absolutely no music, making it incredibly realistic, which also meant that the scary moments were a complete shock.

Have you seen it? What did you think?

  1. Oh yes, I know the music you’re talking about. They put it in ridiculous action movies as well – it certainly does get annoying!

I loved Cloverfield, so if this is like that at all I’ll probably enjoy it.
