World Horror Con 2010

Next years World Horror Convention is in Brighton, England and I’ve registered for it. I must admit that I’m a little nervous. It’s the first convention I’m attending and I don’t have a clue what I’m going to be doing there. I don’t know what to take with me or what to expect. But I’m also incredibly excited. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun and an incredible experience.

Let’s not forget all the incredible horror writers who’ll be attending. I can imagine myself absorbing everything that these amazing writers have to say. I also look like a complete stalker in this imaginary image. Hopefully they’re used to the glazy eyed, hero worship filled gazes and won’t run screaming from the building.

Have you attended any conventions? What tips do you have for surviving them?

  1. I’ve been to conferences, but not to conventions. I could be wrong, but I believe the big cons are mostly for the fans. They have workshops going on, but it’s really a mix and mingle with the fans. If that’s right, then stalk all you want (within reason) and have a great time!
