Bloody Book Week

Hello my Freaky Darlings,

The Bloody Book Week started on the 25th of July and ended on Saturday the 30th. It’s the brain child of local radio personality – Jenny Cryws-Williams. The line up saw appearances by both local and international crime and thriller writers. Authors such as Mike Nicol, Sifiso Mzobe, Deon Meyer, Michael Robothom, and Mandi Weiner entertained audiences all over Johannesburg and even ventured out to Pretoria for a delicious lunch at Pachas for a WritersSpeak event.

The week was jam packed and even had Mike Nicol splitting himself in two. Unfortunately Bheki Cele pulled out of his chat with Deon Meyer at the last minute leaving people who’d made their way to Rosebank to see the conversation between the two scratching their heads. But all in all it was a resounding success and I look forward to next years one.

You can see the full line up here.

Did you attend any of the events? What did you think?
