Hello my Freaky Darlings,

This weeks movie is Unborn (2009):

When I first saw the trailer for this in 2009, I thought this was going to be a really good movie, something that would be worth watching, and while there were parts that were pretty creepy, it ended up disappointing me. There were just too many places where the main character was so irritating and whiny. There are only so many times where you can listen to a girl moan to her best friend on her webcam.

On the plus side, I liked that the creepiness started from the very beginning and let’s face it a demonic child is always disturbing. I also liked that they used a different religious angle for a change. It wasn’t the usual Christian or Catholic dogma. This time it was a Jewish demon.  All in all it wasn’t the worst movie I’ve seen, but I won’t be in a rush to see it again.
